After considerable prayer, discernment and conversation with church leadership, I have made the difficult decision to step down from my role as Left Hand Church’s Pastor of Executive Ministries on December 31, 2019.
I strongly believe that our world needs far more churches like Left Hand that affirm and celebrate all of God’s children. Last year, I founded Launchpad, a new organization that equips and supports leaders who are called to make this happen. As Launchpad grows, I am eager to spend more time building it into an organization that will have meaningful impact.
Helping start Left Hand Church has been one of the biggest honors of my career. I am sad that I will no longer be a weekly part of the community, however I am excited for their continued involvement in Launchpad.
And I’m thrilled that two exceptional Left Handers – Kristie Sykes and John Gaddis – will take over and expand this role. Left Hand is blessed to have their passion and experience and I’m excited to see the amazing things Left Hand can do with them.
I’m filled with gratitude to Left Hand’s Leadership Council, for their wisdom and support during this process, and to the Left Hand community who has shown me abundant love and grace.
And I am especially grateful to my co-pastors Jen Jepsen and Paula Williams for their friendship and for their invitation to join them over three years ago in planting Left Hand Church.
May Left Hand continue to spread God’s love to all people in Longmont and beyond.
(In addition to my transition, Left Hand is announcing other changes to their leadership team. More information is available on their site.)
